Terms of Service

Last updated: May 11, 2026

Welcome to York Paris. These terms describe how we work together when you browse our site, reach out about a custom design, or purchase from us. We have written them to be fair, clear, and respectful of you—our customer—as well as our team and craft.

Agreement

By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the site or submitting inquiries. For specific orders, additional terms (such as estimates, timelines, or deposits) may be confirmed with you in writing—those details supplement these general terms.

What we offer

York Paris provides custom jewelry design and related consultation services. Descriptions, images, and timelines on our website are meant to illustrate our approach; final specifications for your piece will be confirmed with you before production commitments are made.

Consultations and communications

When you contact us, we will respond as promptly as we can. Consultations may take place by email, messaging, or other channels we agree on. Please share accurate information so we can quote fairly and avoid misunderstandings. You may pause or withdraw from a project before a binding order is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed for work already completed at your request (such as paid design time).

Text messaging: If we exchange texts, those messages are reserved for service-related communication only—things tied to your inquiry, design, or order. We do not use SMS or similar channels to send marketing blasts, promotional offers, or unsolicited sales outreach. We want you to feel comfortable sharing your number, knowing we will not spam you or use text to sell you something unrelated to the work you asked us about.

Orders, pricing, and payment

Custom work is priced based on materials, complexity, and timing. We will provide a clear summary before you commit. Deposits or payment schedules may apply and will be explained upfront. Unless we agree otherwise, ownership of finished goods passes to you after full payment.

Your designs and intellectual property

Your ideas and personal direction belong to you. We respect your vision and will not knowingly reproduce your unique custom design for another client without your consent. York Paris may retain rights in our underlying design processes, sketches developed in our house style without your specific direction, and generic techniques—we are happy to clarify any gray areas before we start.

Our content

Photography, text, branding, and site content provided by York Paris are protected by intellectual property laws. Please do not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our permission.

Quality and repairs

We stand behind thoughtful craftsmanship. If something arrives damaged or deviates in a material way from what we agreed, contact us right away so we can make it right. Normal wear, accidental damage, or alterations by third parties may fall outside what we can warranty, but we will always try to advise you honestly on care and repair options.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, York Paris is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a specific order is generally limited to the amount you paid us for that order, except where law does not allow such a cap (for example, certain consumer protection statutes). We do not exclude liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other categories that cannot legally be limited.

Website use

Please use our website lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape content at scale without permission, or submit harmful code. We may suspend access if necessary to protect our systems or other users.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By using our services, you acknowledge that policy as well.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use our site or services after updates means you accept the revised terms, except that changes will not retroactively alter rights you already accrued for paid orders unless required by law or mutually agreed.

Governing law and disputes

We hope never to disagree—but if a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it in good faith. Where formal rules apply, they will be the laws of the jurisdiction that governs our business operations, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protections in your home jurisdiction give you mandatory rights that cannot be waived.
